Here's a gym (non-business related) example to anchor this in: I'm supposed to be on a cut right now. 😅 But the holidays happened. Good food happened. There's no such thing as TRULY stuck. It's a feeling. A fabrication inside your mind. I used to think I was stuck in the version of me that was always exhausted and always “trying her best” at everything, bottling up her own desires to please other people. I thought I was stuck in a life that didn't feel like mine. But the truth was… I wasn’t stuck. I was settling. And settling feels comfortable until the day it feels suffocating. When I finally took radical accountability for my life, it was like I had waved a magic wand or some sh*t because everything CHANGED. For the first time, I started being 100% honest with myself about what I wanted. I started making moves that aligned with my desires, and my life exploded (in a good way). 👉 I started a business at 24. 👉 I learned to trust myself. 👉 I stopped shrinking to make other people comfortable. I used to think scaling was all strategy and systems… cute!!! But the truth is your business can only rise to the level of your wellbeing. There was a season where I was building big dreams on an empty cup running on four hours of sleep forgetting to eat until 3 p.m. and convincing myself I could “push through.” Spoiler: I could not. Nobody talks about how much harder the climb feels when your body is whispering for attention. And when you finally listen when you nourish yourself when you sleep deeply when you move your body like it deserves love your business starts responding too. Because a regulated, rested, fueled CEO makes clearer decisions follows intuition faster and stops creating from burnout energy. I’ll go first. I started my business in 2021. Over the years, there have been multiple times I've woken up convinced that my life was over. Not metaphorically. Royally f*cked. I truly believed I had wrecked my finances, sabotaged my progress, and fallen so far behind that there was no way back. It felt like every unchecked task and unopened envelope had fused into this giant shadow monster sitting in the corner of my mind. And I carried the weight of it for years. Quietly. Constantly. Taxes, credit, debt, paperwork… all of it felt too big to look at. So I didn’t. Avoidance became my coping mechanism because the fear story was louder than the facts. But then I finally sat down, asked for support, and broke everything into tiny pieces. And the wild part? None of it was as catastrophic as my brain had convinced me. Everything that felt like impending doom was... surprisingly very fixable. And here’s the part nobody talks about: Most solopreneurs aren’t actually drowning. They’re dysregulated. The shame isn’t about numbers or tasks. It’s about identity. We quietly tell ourselves: “I’m irresponsible.” “I’m behind.” “This means I’m failing at adulthood.” But the second you see the truth, that whole identity collapses. What felt like “ruining your life” was just avoidance + fear + zero clarity. And that moment, that shift in identity, is what actually changes your entire trajectory. You’re not behind. You’re just overwhelmed. And once you face what you’ve been avoiding, your whole future opens back up. Save this for the days your fear spirals feel loud. ✨
