Lately, spirituality has become an important part of my life. I didn’t really know about the law of attraction until last year. However, when I learned what it was, it made complete sense to me. It was like something “clicked” in my brain.
The law of attraction states that we “attract what we’re focusing on into our lives.” Your thoughts manifest into events or things. Essentially, you create your own reality using your mind.
Therefore, to attract positive energy into your life, you must maintain a positive mindset. You need to live what’s called a “high-vibe lifestyle.” Put simply, that means attaining a higher vibration.
With a lower vibration, your issues will seem much worse than they would if your energy is vibrating at a higher frequency. If you choose to live a high-vibe lifestyle, however, your problems won’t seem so bad. Your life will be happy and fulfilling.
Want to learn some concrete actions you can take to raise your vibration? Here are 25 ways to attract positive energy and live a high-vibe lifestyle:

1. Express yourself with love.
You attract love into your life by focusing on it. So, instead of focusing on negative emotions like anger or hate, make sure the actions you take are fueled by love and compassion.
I’m not saying that you shouldn’t ever express negative emotions. You are human, after all, and you’ll feel sad or angry at times. But instead of expressing negative feelings in unproductive or harmful ways, do it through something you love.
Example: If you’re passionate about painting, you could focus on your art when you’re sad and funnel that emotion into your creative work.
Example: If you’re feeling depressed and worthless, sign up to volunteer for a cause you care about. By doing something kind for others, you will attract positivity into your life.
2. Purge all hate from your heart.
I don’t hate anyone. Not a single person on this Earth. A lot of people have done me wrong in life, but I don’t hate any of them.
If someone hurts you, try to be understanding of the situation instead of letting anger consume you. Don’t let yourself hate that person. It’s okay to be angry at someone temporarily, but you need to have empathy for that person to fully heal.
Example: Let’s say your significant other cheated on you. Cheating is wrong and incredibly hurtful, but understand that people are not perfect. Your significant other has issues to work through that have nothing to do with you.
(Note: I am not saying that you should continue to date that person. You should not stay in a relationship that is unhealthy or toxic. I’m just saying that you will have an easier time healing from heartbreak if you view the situation with empathy.)
3. Forgive everyone who has done you wrong.
You can’t achieve inner peace until you’ve forgiven all the people who have hurt you.
And to be clear, I mean you need to forgive them in your heart. You don’t need to speak to those people or bring them back into your life. If they’re not high-vibe people, don’t let them be a part of your circle!
You want to forgive them in your heart and allow yourself to heal so you can move forward. The goal is to get rid of any ill-will or bad emotions you feel toward other people.
Forgiveness will release those negative feelings. We don’t want negativity. We only want to be thinking positive thoughts, feeling positive feelings, and attracting positive energy.
Example: You find out your “friend” said some nasty things about you behind your back.
The first step is to realize your “friend” said those things because he or she is insecure, jealous, or unhappy overall.
You could confront the friend and try to make amends if you want, but I’d suggest you cut that person off. You don’t need backstabbers in your circle. When you forgive people, that doesn’t mean you have to put up with their antics!
4. Be kinder to yourself and others.
Practicing self-love is one of the most high-vibe things you can do. When you love yourself unconditionally, you’ll naturally feel happier.
It’s also important to be nicer to the people around you. That means loved ones, friends, strangers, people on the Internet, or anyone you come in contact with.
Little gestures of kindness go a long way. You’ll make someone else’s day and attract positivity into your life.
Example: Start a self-love journal to write down all the things you love about yourself. This will help you realize how great you truly are and boost your confidence so you’re more capable to pursue your goals.
Example: Hold the door for a stranger. It’s so simple to do, and it will make someone else’s life a little easier. What if that person is having the worst day ever? A little gesture of kindness could make that person’s day and restore faith in humanity.
5. Turn negative thoughts into positive ones.
To maintain a positive mindset, you have to think positive thoughts. We all have negative thoughts that pop into our heads at times, but you need to master the art of turning them into positive ones!
You can’t raise your vibration with negative thinking. Instead of constantly criticizing yourself, practice positive self-talk. I wrote a post on how to silence your inner critic and encourage positive self-talk. Check it out!
Example: Turn “I can’t” statements into “I can” statements. Instead of saying “I can’t run a marathon,” say “I can train consistently and build up the stamina to finish a marathon.”
6. Stop complaining.
Complaining is inherently negative. You attract negativity every time you complain.
Instead of complaining about your problems, show gratitude for what you have. By focusing on the positive, you’ll feel happier, get into a better mindset, and attract the right kind of energy into your life.
Example: Don’t say “My life sucks, and I hate my job!” Instead, say “I’m lucky to have a job right now. Even though it’s not exactly what I want to do, I’m 100 percent capable of changing careers. I just have to take that step when I’m ready!”
7. Clarify your goals and work toward them.
If you want to achieve your goals, you first have to clarify them. You need to fully understand what you’re working toward if you want to create an actionable plan to reach your goals.
Goals boost your self-esteem, and every little accomplishment is a reason to celebrate. When you lift yourself up and strive for something better, you’ll inspire others to do the same.
Example: Create a vision board to clarify and visualize your goals. Then, create a plan of action to help your vision board manifest.

8. Use visualization techniques for manifestation.
When done correctly, visualization will change your life.
Mental imagery is so powerful. You create your reality and your future simply by visualizing it.

9. Start a gratitude journal.
This is something I plan to do this week, actually!
In a gratitude journal, you write down all the things you’re grateful for. It’s a powerful tool to change your mindset and help you look on the bright side more often!
All you need is a writing utensil and a notebook or binder to record your thoughts in.
Example: When you’re feeling sad, open your gratitude journal and write down 10 positive statements or things you’re grateful for… like your family, your health, or even just the fact you woke up this morning and had the opportunity to live your life for another day.
10. Practice mindfulness.
Being mindful simply means being aware of yourself and everything that’s happening around you in the present moment. Mindfulness is key for living a high-vibe lifestyle.
When you think mindfully, you’re not worried about the past. You’re not concerned about the future. You’re focused on what you can do right now to make the present moment great.
Example: Here are a few mindfulness practices you can use to ground yourself in the present moment.
11. Love yourself in as many ways as you can.
Like I mentioned earlier, loving yourself is one of the strongest ways to raise your vibration.
It’s important to recognize that there are many ways to practice self-love, and you should try to love yourself in as many ways as possible so you can feel happier and more confident.
Learn to love your intelligence, talent, appearance, perseverance, passion, creativity, kindness, empathy… The list is endless.
Example: If you’re not fully happy with your body, work on loving your appearance more.
Example: If you don’t feel confident in your skills, accept your abilities as they are now, but keep striving to improve them!
12. Be proud of your body and everything it’s capable of.
I already talked about this in #11, but I want to reiterate my point because negative body image is so common among people, regardless of gender, age, or background.
Instead of hating the body you were given, be proud of it. Appreciate how capable it is, and realize that no one in the world was created exactly like you. That’s pretty special!
Accept yourself the way you are. Focus on the things you love about your body, not on the things you dislike.
Example: Dedicate a journal entry to body positivity, and make a list of things you love or appreciate about your body. You’ll see a difference in your mindset when you choose to focus on the positive!
13. Eat nutritious food.
Not everyone realizes it, but eating healthy food benefits both your physical and mental health. A high-vibe lifestyle is all about feeling your best! To do that, you’ll need to nourish your body with the nutrients it’s asking for.
Eat mindfully. You can have a cupcake if you want one. You can have a slice of pizza if you want one. But for the most part, try to eat food that’s good for your body so you can feel your best physically and mentally.
Example: Cook more of your own meals so you can include healthy ingredients and avoid the detrimental effects of preservatives.
14. Avoid toxic substances like alcohol.
I speak from personal experience when I say that alcohol can distort your mindset and cause emotional imbalance. I still drink occasionally, but way less than I used to.
When I was in college, I was a wreck. I drank almost every day, and it took a toll on my health.
Based on my experiences, I don’t think it’s possible to drink alcohol frequently and live a high-vibe lifestyle. I just don’t believe the two go together.
Alcohol is totally fine in moderation as long as you don’t go overboard and you’re aware of the adverse effects it can have on you.
Example: Instead of going out to the bar with your friends, suggest a stay-in movie night and serve “healthy-ish” snacks.
15. Surround yourself with high-vibe people.
The people you surround yourself with have a major impact on your vibration! Don’t forget that!
I keep my circle small because I prefer to surround myself with people who bring positivity into my life. I avoid drama and talking badly about people. You can raise your vibration by nurturing healthy and supportive relationships with others.
Because I’m selective about the people who get to be a part of my life, I can cherish my close friends and give them more of the love they deserve.
Example: If you’re friends with someone who loves dragging you into drama, try to limit contact with that person, or even cut that person out completely. Drama attracts negativity, which you don’t want!
Example: Make an effort to meet more high-vibe people. Reach out to them on social media. Get out and try new activities to meet like-minded people. You could find your new best friend in a yoga class!
16. Consume content that’s good for your soul.
The noise created by social media and the news can get extremely overwhelming. And honestly, that noise isn’t always valuable! It can stress you out without providing any justifiable benefit.
To live a high-vibe lifestyle, you must consume valuable content. You can start by spending less time watching TV or browsing social media.
Instead, read an inspiring book.
Listen to a personal growth podcast.
Find some interesting blogs to read.
Hop on Skillshare and teach yourself something new.
By monitoring the content you consume, you can control how it affects your mindset.
Example: I wrote a post on this topic! Learn how to consume content that benefits you and limit your consumption of content that will lower your vibration.
17. Connect with nature and the outdoors.
A healthy lifestyle is a high-vibe lifestyle. So, make sure to schedule a little outdoor time into your week!
Example: Sign up for a group kayaking trip.
Example: Make walking or jogging a part of your morning routine.
18. Do a digital detox every once in a while.
You can avoid the stress of social media by simply taking a break from it.
Doing a digital detox means staying off all technology for a set period of time. It could be a day, a week, or however long you want!
Part of raising your vibration is connecting with your inner self. Social media and technology are often distracting, and they can steer us away from the things that truly matter.
Especially if your job requires you to be on a computer all day, you could benefit from a digital detox. If you can, take some time off work and give yourself a break from screens!
Example: Work on a creative project of your choice for a day instead of sitting on the couch and scrolling through social media.
Example: Make a “no TV” rule for yourself, and stick to it for a whole week. When you get the urge to turn on the TV, write in a journal or go for a walk instead.
19. Delete, unfollow, and block negative influences.
Social media in general impacts your vibration, but you also need to make sure you’re following the right accounts.
You should follow accounts that inspire you and motivate you to be better, not accounts that encourage you to think self-deprecating thoughts or engage in harmful behavior.
It’s not personal. Delete, unfollow, and block all negative influences from your life! Fill your feed with people who are all about the high-vibe lifestyle, just like you are!
Example: One of your acquaintances constantly shares offensive memes. Unfollow!
Example: One of your exes is posting pictures of a new love interest, and you don’t like seeing it. Block!
Example: An influencer you follow is promoting flat tummy tea products, which you know are not beneficial for your health. Delete!
20. Declutter your life.
If you want to get your life together and raise your vibration at the same time, I have two suggestions: organize and declutter!
And I mean doing more than just tidying up your desk. Organize your schedule, declutter your mind, clean out your contacts list… You get the idea.

21. Create a calm and beautiful living space for yourself.
Speaking of organizing things, it’s important to make sure the space you live in reflects your mindset. Fill it with things you think are beautiful, like dreamcatchers, inspirational quotes, photos of loved ones, etc.
Start with your bedroom. When you wake up in the morning, the first thing you see will be a beautiful, peaceful space that makes you happy. You’ll start your day off on the right foot.
Then, move onto your workspace. Make sure the place you work is clutter-free and optimized for productivity. This is your chance to decorate it and make it yours, so have fun with it! Who knows? A pretty workspace might even make work suck less.
Example: Print out some inspirational quotes, frame them, and hang them on your wall.
22. Set a positive intention every night before bed.
This is the perfect way to end your day. After you pray or give thanks, set a positive intention for the next day. You’re ending each day of your life on an uplifting note, and you look forward to making the next day even better.
This is especially important to do on bad days. If you’re going through a tough time, you need to attract more positive energy into your life. You can do that by setting positive intentions each night.
After you rest and recharge, you’ll wake up knowing exactly what you need to do the next morning to improve your life. Instead of waking up feeling confused and stressed, you’ll be ready to take on the challenges of the day.
Example: A positive intention could be, “I intend to be open to new opportunities” or “I intend to be more forgiving of others.”
23. Repeat positive affirmations daily.
Intentions keep you on track, and affirmations help you have a more positive mindset!
By repeating positive affirmations daily, you’ll raise your vibration and attract positivity into your life. Affirmations challenge negative or overly critical thoughts.
If you struggle with negative self-talk, positive affirmations will help you combat unhelpful statements!
Example: Here are 50 positive affirmations you can use to start reshaping your mindset.
24. Embrace creative ideas.
Creativity comes naturally with any high-vibe lifestyle. I think it’s because you become less critical when you raise your vibration, and therefore you’re more open to creative ideas.
When you come up with an idea for a creative project, don’t let it go! Write it down somewhere so you don’t forget it. Ideas are so valuable. Every million-dollar salary started with a creative idea.
If you’re overly critical of yourself, you might find it hard to put your ideas into action. You might believe they “aren’t good enough.” But you must remember that your inner critic is the enemy of creativity and productivity!
Allow your creativity to flow. Embrace ideas. Act on the ones you feel passionate about. If you follow your passion, you’ll achieve more than you ever would have thought.
Example: You get an idea for a novel. You write down the idea to return to later. A week passes, you look back at the idea, and you think it’s brilliant! So, you write the book, and two years later it gets published. It all started with a random idea you got.
25. Have fun with your life!
I dislike it when people say “life is hard.” Yes, of course life can be hard, but it can also be fun!
Your life can be anything. It’s truly what you make of it. So, instead of saying “life sucks,” do something fun! Make it suck less.
Example: Here are some fun things you could do. Go on a hot air balloon ride. Get your nails done. Go to a music festival. Or if you’re an introvert and enjoy staying inside, read a book! Start a Tumblr blog! Do the things you enjoy and make the most of your life.
