If you have set goals and failed to stick to them, you are not alone.
Listen, I know exactly how it feels to set goals and then lose the focus or motivation necessary to achieve them. In fact, I have done that plenty of times. I let things get in the way, or I doubted myself too much. I failed to achieve so many goals I set for myself, and for a long time I had no idea why.
Then, I learned the importance of two crucial goal-setting concepts: consistency and accountability. One of my current goals is to become more lean through working out and eating right. It’s a goal I’ve had for years and years, but I never saw much progress until recently. I discovered a tool that has helped me IMMENSELY in tracking and achieving all my goals, including personal fitness.
This tool is called a habit tracker, and it is incredible.
So, what is a habit tracker, anyway?
A habit tracker is a chart that you can use to create a visual representation of how often you do certain things. In the chart, there’s a row for each habit and a column for each day of the month. Whenever you complete a task, you simply mark the box in the chart that corresponds to the date you completed it. That way, you can see how many times per month you completed the task.
Many goals require consistency in certain habits to achieve them. For example, my personal fitness goal requires me to exercise and cook healthy meals regularly. Those are two habits I track in my chart. Using the habit tracker, I can ensure that I am consistent, and I can easily hold myself accountable for important habits.
